OK?talked to a local body shop that has done quite a bit of work for me in the past (custom paint on Audi?s, Volvo?s and SUV?s I?ve owned)?and they?ve given me a quote of $1000. I?m going to go with them so at the end of the day it?s going to cost me $2400 for the parts, paint and install. I?ll try to sell my stock pieces as a set so, if successful, that?ll offset the cost a bit?but regardless I?m pleased with $2400.

If anyone else in SoCal is interested let me know and I?ll send you contact info. My car will be done a week from this Friday (6.17.05)

Congrats! Don't expect to sell your old stuff. I just tucked it away on a big platform I built in my garage. Then again I didn't even try to put the parts on ebay because I figured how the heck would I ship them if the buyer is not local. Dunno

Figure maybe the body-shop knows someone that wants them...there are a lot of bmw/german salvage yards in L.A. / O.C....and there has to be a need for prime condition fogs/front & rear bumpers. I have no space to store them...my garage is only 20' x 20' and although it's all very neat...between the two cars and kids stuff I have no more space.

I am getting my car back from the body shop today, I will post some pics later. I paid $1,200 + Tax for the kit at Concord BMW. The install and paint was $1,490 out the door. My body shop told me it took them 8-9 hours to do the install because of all the air ducts going to the brakes etc.
