$1600-$2000 to paint and install an M-tech kit?

that's the quote from a local body shop. they do the work for the dealer here, yet said they have never installed an m-tech kit on a "four door."

thoughts?

If that price is for just install and paint - run, don't walk! That's a rip-off. FYI, I just paid $2500 for the OEM kit, paint, and install.

the dealer actually gave me a decent price on the kit... between garry's price shipped and msrp.

That's too much. Ask for reference from friends and call a reputable shop. I paid $1000 for paint and installation in the Washing DC area.

1600 is way to much for paint and install. Find another shop.
