Tint will not affect your Nav or keyless entry.
Your Nav uses the Sharkfin antenna....? and keyless entry works on radio frequency, which is long-wavelength.
Window tint is designed to stop ultraviolet and infrared light, which are short wavelength.
I have 20% tint on my gray E60, with 35% on the front... check out the pics in my signature.

Im getting 15% looks sweet
I had 20% on my old car (CLK 430) and never got a ticket (Knock on wood). My friend has 5% on his and got one after 4 years he just took his tint off and showed them and didnt have to pay his ticket, then back to the tint shop and 5% went back on the next day!

Georgia has currently suspended their "Tint Law" as of right now, there are no restrictions. That's not to say it can't change overnight. I have friends who have 5% on their 6 series but in my opinion it is just too dark and makes it very difficult to see at night. Having the slide for the sunroof also brightens the inside of the car considerably and makes the tint apear lighter than it really is.

Didn't he have to pay the same amount either way....taking tint off and then having a shop put the tint back on would cost almost the same as paying a $45 ticket (thats what it is here in New Jersey)

Some people who has seen my car thinks that my tints look a bit dark from an angle. But in my opinion, its not too dark. So from you NJ drivers, 35% tints on the side isn't too dark that I would gain a lot of attention from cops right?

Well.... in Florida we have one of the most permissive laws for auto tint.
That said, the liklihood you'll ever get pulled for it is low.
I got pulled over one time since I lived in Florida. It was for a stop sign.
On my car, I had 5% on the back, 15% on the sides and 32% on the front. The cop never even noticed.
I got pulled many times when I lived in SC for speeding. And every time I had VERY illegal tint. (5%, 15-20%, 35% front) Never did a single cop notice my tint.
So.... yes it is technically illegal. But are you honestly going to have a problem with it down here in the south? Not likely.
You see.... in Florida, even if you have legal tint... if the sun hits the glass at the right angle... you can't see in the car. In fact, with the right angle of glare... even an untinted window can't be seen through. So its just hard to get caught, because even if a cop saw your car... he just can't see that your legal or not.
Now, in the north.... that's a different story. You guys have gay-ass laws up there, so it's a lot easier for a cop to just see that you have illegal tint.... because in most cases even any level of tint is illegal... and a lot of you people have state inspections.
So... anyway... take another look at my tint. hehe.
I could change clothes in a crowded parking lot in broad daylight without a care.
