I tried to bake the headlights along time ago and failed. Left it in the oven forever and the glass wouldn't budge at all.

I ended up selling the extra set I had and buying a pair of euro headlights for $700 ish. This was probably a year and a half ago. Its probably cheaper now since the LCI headlights replaced the Euro style.

Look it up and you might find some good deals on ebay. Just make sure they are the right type of HID bulb you have (D1S or D2S).

Good luck.

Ha, fellow member of maxima.org? My last car I did the same thing, 02 maxima, cleared the orange and did the angel eyes. I did it 4times on that car.

I thought about it on this car but would be too scared.
Fellow maxima.org member here.....haven't been active on there since I bought the 550 though. I had a 4th gen max, and I too did the "headlight in the oven" trick.....man, I miss the simplicity of the 4th gen maxima's sometimes

So Im getting a 06 alpine white 530i and I hate the orange reflectors in the head lights. Is there any way to remove the reflector or should I just have it tinted black like I have seen some people do? I think it looks nice all cleared out like the 08 headlights but the black tint is much easier to do and less expensive.

What do you guys think should I trying baking and opening my headlights to remove the reflector and risk damaging the lights
or
do you like the black tint and should I just be safe and do that??

Give me some advice here... Thanks!! I'll have pics after I do it.

I hated the orange in the headlight housing, thought about baking as a friend of mine did with his 350Z but like many others here backed out of that option as there are too many unforseen complications. I thought about the euro sticker but opted to smoke my headights and taillights which blends real nice with my saphire black.

Are the Euro reflectors still available. I'd like to purchase some for some E60
