There are differences.
At least 5.

(Same car) My car. I had the Mtech before too and you can definitely see the difference.

Do I need anything else? Any hardware from going from stock 545i and ordering the m5 bumper??

Oh wait, actually, you need to get two headlight washer fluid brackets (unless you dont have it). I can look up the part if needed.

I want the M5 bumper. I have PDC. Can I not get the bumper with fog lights?
Well the M5 is bigger than the OEM front. So yes, you'll have to get some brackets and mod it. As far as not putting fogs, you can do that too, only thing is, your idrive is going to give you errors if you disconnect the fog bulb. You can possibly put a resistor there to trick the car and not have an error message.

Contact Jcool1801 (I think that's his SN) He put a M5 front on his car and it looked great. He sold his car though.

great break down of the two bumpers. The umnitza front end is WAAAY better than the mtech. The mtech rear is better for me though....i dont want to do quads so maybe i should just mix and match. umnitza front end, umnitza side skirts, and mtech rear.

Nigxdoof - Thanks man as you are the first person to get me to see the differences. Nice work.
I am befuddled by those who say there is a huge difference. The difference to me is inconsequential. I love both. I would never get rid of my M-Tech. It is more confrontational and masculine. ...what is that which is in the eye of the beholder?
