Hi rastarrph,
Could you please email me the details for the chaps who did your retrofit? I am after the same thing actually for my BMW 520d 2005 Saloon. Do you mind telling us how much did it cost to add that retro satnav etc including parts and labour? Did you get the part or did the installer supply them?

Strange, I have a similiar setup same year and I was able to get Dension working. I had a specialty shop code it. I definatley want to look at doing the NAV however in my car. I didn't realize it would be so plug and play.

You're bang on the money when you say "strange", but when all failed we just assumed it was to do with the single slot business cd non-text capability, but yes the ccc nav is literally plug and play 2 hrs max.

I have a 2008 530d, car is amazing but not satnav, if it is a relatively easy fix by plug and play then i will give it a go.

As there appears to be a lot of interest, i got in touch with Marius, and he is ok for me to post his details here.

At the time it was £700 supplied and fitted ccc satnav retrofit, tell him Mr. Kumbi sent you for same deal.

Marius is a cool guy, him and his colleague both have bimmas and an e60 at that, so they tend to trial weird and wacky upgrades on their e60 first before offering the package, so should be ok, know what their doing...good luck
they can also do the CIC (the internet idrive with usb et al.) which he did for his car, but sadly funds limited me, just wanted the music and sat nav, no need to check emails on the road
lol!
