i spent the day with the whole aFe gang in their office in Corona and they were able to use my 535i to install their latest release! not only they a great group of guys, but they know their stuff. they even gave me a personalized tour of their whole factory, from how they make their own filters to how they assemble them. FYI - aFe make filters for TRD and Mugen!!
here's the first 535i with aFe Power Intake System! video to follow, it's late.
now on to the bread and butter - perfomance! from a sound perspective, you can really hear the turbo's spooling....whoosh! but once you give it some lead foot, it really takes off. i felt it from most of the range, but mostly at the 4000-43000 rpm range is when it really kicks in! how 'bout 98% increase of air flow, 27 hp & 34 lbs ft of torque at 4200 rpm's!!! as far as looks, you can tell from the pix above - it looks sexy!! not to mention mean lookin!
here is aFe's spec sheet for all of the fun facts that i know you all want to see. quite impressive if i must say so!
now that i've got your attention, how much do you ask?! the guys at aFe was kind enough to extend a group price, pls PM me for special pricing for both CA & out of state residents. we will need a minimum of 10 buyers for the group buy to be completed. once i get the 8 buyers, i will collect all the contact and payment info. i am in direct contact with aFe and they will get them out to you.
GB ends on or before 8/30.

Jesus...between the Dinan Remap and an AFE Intake, you got yourself quite a beast. It almost makes you wonder if it's worth getting a 550...

Just to give you a heads up on your pricing, Joe, r1racer, can get it a lot cheaper than that. Low 300s, I think you need to talk to the guys at AFE about the group buy price.

Oh man I saw/heard this (John why didn't I drive it when I backed your car out and you weren't there?) and it's a FRICKEN BEAST!! Get this if you have 135, 335, or 535 you can hear the spool a whole lot better oh man oh man. drooooooooool!!
