There is no bulb that will give good daytime visibility for pre-lci lights. If you want them to look like the pic Orions is your only answer.

I guess I'll be the tester to verify whether that is true!

It has been tested, but it's always better to waste ~$100 before dumping ~$400-$500 on Orion installation, good luck. If you were closer I'd let you look at my Orions and see if they'll change your mind, hahaha.

Do you have pics on the forum already??

I gather regardless of the brand they will all look the same on the pre-lci e60?? And the fact that the brand I chose was perfect (to me) on my e39 has no correlation to how the same brand will look on my e60?? If that is true, I'll have to re-search what the non Ov4 upgrades look like. I've seen some but didn't think it was exclusive across the board for all e60's regardless -- and your ONLY option is Ov4 or some Mtech something I saw.

Even these huh?:

I'm pretty sure I do, click on my name and then look at the topics I've made. With bimmian notice all the headlights they show are e9x 3 series. On M5 board the first set of pics has lci lights which transmit light better than ours lights do. The third pic is Orions, forth is an e90 and the last set of pics have xenon bulbs as the light source in an lci housing.

There will always be some kool-aid but remember the design is over a decade old. There's always room for innovation but some things are pretty much fact. For example every now and again someone will come and say you don't have to cut the headlights open to install Orions, every other car you can bake them open. I've heard of one shop successfully doing it that way but said it was easy to just cut and reseal the light than bake them. Something about the factory seal being so strong and HOURS of baking. Anyways doing research before spending money is always a wise choice. Let me know if you need anymore help.

the last image was two white bimmers side by side and the car on the right is using H8 V4s?? thats legit. So did they replace the whole housing? the rings themselves? or just the bulbs? (sorry, BMW noobie) just trying to learn

I was wondering who/why my post rose like Lazarus! ! :-0 lol.

Actually I don't... I tried my ECS option and returned them. Trinity swore theirs was better n brighter but they were basically the same 10w bulb. So I learned I was wrong and understand what I was being told now. Truth is I've been busy spending that $$ on other mods (oem m5 bumper, professional install of Alpine Amp and 12 in sub in ski port, coding laptop, wheels and tires end of the month) etc and will reemerge when my rig is pimped out soon

Did you get all the extra to go with the front bumper? Brake ducts, fender liners, fenders?
