Hi All:
My 545i wants to go pretty fast in idle. ~{;^) I have to be careful and not take my foot off the brake in tight circumstances. But, my idle seems normal as cars go--700 RPM. Is my observation typical, or is my idle too fast?

Same here. Mine idles in the region of 700 rpm (with air-con turned on) and the car always feels like its gonna take off anytime. The rpm drops to about 500 when the air-con is turned off.

Yes, 700 RPMs with AC on. I wonder if we'd be arrested for street racing if we staged stoplight idle drags. ~(;^) I'm inspired; I am going to see how fast my car will go idle. I want the bragging rights.

[/quote]Ouch, I was hoping a little of Bell and Litchfield road.. haha I do agree in regards to meeting up. I am sure it would be nice to meet up on a Sunday or what not.
