Hello. I had a TCM in my 545i fail. I have another zf6hp26 but it's out of a 2004 745i. I'd like to swap out the tcm from e65 trans and use it in the e60. But as you know the e65 is a electronic shift trans. The e60 is not. Can the tcm from the e65 be programmed to work with the e60. I was going to use ncis expert and ista-p or winkfp to flash tcm. Can this be done? Has anyone done this? The part number is the same. So it all in the coding I think. Any help would be greatly appreciated .
Update. The bmw e60 is a 545i the TCM/EGS is a M-shift. The TCM i was going to try is a E-shift. Same part number. If i install in the trans and program with ISTA-P. Will it work. I read somewhere where someone did this. I cant fing post on Google or coding forums.
