vehicle is stationary in the Drive position; the service brakes are applied; and the engine is still in the warm-up phase. The NIC function eliminates engine load when vehicle is stopped, reducing fuel consumption.

NIC (Neutral Idle Control) feature disengages the torque converter from the transmission when the

I see that you are still having this issue. I wouldn't put all my eggs into it being the NIC. If you are still having this issue after driving it 200 miles then you are not getting the pressure values that you need. If you changed the 5 gaskets between the VB and trans then your valves are misaligned and you are not getting the pressure you need to shift when it suppose to. It could also be that you changed the values on your solenoids or EDS. You have too many variables to pin point it exactly. A lot of people on this site has had the same issue that you have including me. We have all done the same fix, going about it different ways. I don't think any one went further than resetting the trans adaptions. That is the only thing I see different. The converter on these cars for the most part are solid and only goes bad with not having enough fluid. The late shift should be corrected by solenoid change, gaskets/sleeves/bridge change, and new fluid. You are really at a disadvantage and the only way you are going to get this resolved is buy taking it to the dealer or opting to send the VB to get done.
