my 2008 550i w/SAT is perfect in all modes, however my prior 2005 545i had the rolling start jerk that drove me crazy .

No problems with the auto transmission in DS mode (2007 model 530d M Sport ) or any other mode.

The problem I have with my trans is that you can never take off the same from a stop. Sometimes it takes off real smooth. Other times you give gas the same way you have been and it barely goes, then you give it more gas and it really takes off. And other times it takes off like a bat out of hell with barely any throttle pressure.
I've taken it to the stealership and have been told that is just the way they are after a few reprogramming sessions. If that's the way they are then why do the reprogramming anyway?

2008 528i Awful in sport mode,you would think you were in a stick shift with a lousy driver!
Smooth in D but you have to come to a complete stop at signs, if you are rolling at about 1or2 mph it will jerk like a shocked cat!
