Just had my transmission on my 2007 550 reprogrammed at the dealer but it is still "jerky" between 2nd and 3rd. I have seen others comment on this problem in the past, and the dealer said it is a "known issue". I am curious to see a head count to understand how prevalent the issue is. So....I have included a poll on the subject

I was told by my tech that this is to be expected in DS mode.

My tranny jerks when downshifting when coming to a complete stop. Hate to say, this is the worst transmission on a car that I have every owned. After 6-7 trips to dealer, they gave up and told me that it was normal. If this was normal, then why all of the bulletin on trying to fix this issue. Step up BMW and stop screwing around with us.

Not what i want to hear sadly.

Mine is a 535d and slowing down to a stop it kicks like a mule. I think its as the box selects second (it pulls off in 2nd of course) or either as it disengages gears (not sure if it does?)

I was planning a re-program but it sounds like its not worth it.

My 530d never had any of these issues!!!

my tranny has always been jerking.. it was replaced about 5k miles ago so i guess its normal. Question though.. is it bad to continuously switch from normal automatic to sport? I tend to switch a lot while im driving.
