Hi! there.
Now my 530 sports package Dunlop tires are making noise.
So I am considering to put New shoes.
My first choice is Bridgestone Run Flats and the next one is non-runflat Goodyear F1.
Please let me have your experience with this tires and your suggestion.
Thank you for all inputs.

My oem B-stones RFT are fine...quiet, smooth, and sticks pretty well on cornes. Some have gotten thnere Dunlops replaced under warranty...yoo might want to consider that.
Oh yeah, I got about 3000 miles on it in LA street. If you know LA...the street are not the smoothes

Thank you for Breae60!
My parents are living in LA. LA is better than Midwest. During Winter,
I should keep my eyes big holes on streets.
Anyway my main concern is noise. So I need more quiet tires than Dunlop.
Actually I asked to replace Dunlop tires under Warranty. But my dealer said to me.
" Your tires are not bad at this time.......".
So I decided to replace them with my $$.
For me, I prefer to buy Runflat tires. But I cannot ignor noise issue with Dunlop RF tires. Therefore Goodyear is my second choice.

I had my Dunlops replaced under warranty for excessive noise and tramlining. BMW replaced them with Bridgestone Potenza runflats. So far, I'm extremely pleased with them, although I only have 1000 miles on them, they are very quiet and seem to handle just as well as the horrendous Dunlops. We'll see what happens in another 10000 miles or so, but so far so good.

There has been a lot of complaints here about the Dunlop runflats. I'm under the impression that most of it has to do with the stiff walls that rft's have. Maybe other rft's are better.

Not only are they noisy with time, but they also are very hard and stiffer than desirable. Every pebble can be felt.

Had an '04 545 with the Dunlop Run Flats and now have an '05 545 with the Bridgestones and I can tell you first hand that the Bridgestones offer a much better ride.

I am curious as about your Dunlop tire problems, how many miles did you have on them before you started to notice that they were not right? Also, what were you first indicators, noise or vibrations etc. I appreciate you sharing your experiences. Iv'e got just over 5,000 miles on the car and cannot say that I notice more noise, but there seems to be some vibration. BMW's transmit road feel, thats one of the reasons we buy these cars, sometimes its difficult to differentiate between whats normal or the beginning of excessive. Thanks in advance

I started noticing road noise at around 7000 miles with it becoming excessive at 10,000 miles. In addition to the noise, the car started tramlining on even smooth roads (the roads here in AZ are very smooth, so I really noticed the tramlining). The vibrations were very noticeable between 40-50mph, which is where the majority of my daily driving took place. This is my 6th BMW, all with sport packages, and this was by far the worst that I've experienced with any model insofar as road noise and tire wear. The ironic thing is that the Dunlops did not display any signs of excessive tread wear.

If I remember right, didn't your dealer replace them rather than BMW NA...I ask b/c BMW NA may be replacing mine under warranty today.

Mine is making noise after 4000 miles.
When I asked a dealer to inspect them, I got a charge which is around $125.
They told me my tires has some slightly cupping(right name??) and this is not related to BMW mechanical problems. So they told I have to complain something with Dunlop company. After that, I can say "NO Clue".

Now I am thinking "Why did I buy this car at this dealer?"
