Still works out less per mile than my diesel 5er with gas price differences between the UK and the US!

With the prices we have at the moment me doing 40k miles a year in the diesel would be like you doing 40k miles a year in that!

What sort of boat is that? Looks cool.
Interesting. Didnt know there was that much difference in gas prices over there. The boat is a 29' Commander with a 525 EFI = 525 HP I go boating in Lake Havasu, AZ about every other weekend during the summer!!

I have a RAV4 for fowl weather and for hauling crap from Home Depot .I don,t take the 545 out in ice and snow. Its hard enough just trying to keep the idiots out there from dinging my doors.I rarely take it out even in the rain.I have had it for 32 months and it still looks like it belongs in a showroom.

I have been thinking about this post and the only thing I can think of is you bought a car that is too expensive for you?

Not saying you can't afford it, but I think you are worried about the amount you are going to loose on it, sounds to me like you wanted the 550i so you could puff your chest out but now you are looking at the tacho all the time and instead of seeing miles rack up you are seeing $ signs.

If you can't afford to rack the miles up you can't afford the car, simple as that, should have got the 525i I think?

You bought a more expensive car to keep the miles down on a cheaper car.

Yeah for decent stuff we are at getting really pricey. I paid $1.96us a litre the other day when filling up, so it cost me $130.00 to fill her up, then 300 odd miles later you do it all again!

The boat looks great, really wished we lived in a warmer climate, one thing I would really like, but not the same in the North Sea!
