You're on this forum. That in and of itself is enough to say that you're someone that loves your car. But how far is too far? Making videos, taking photos, joining car clubs, constantly modifying, keeping it clean all the time, upgrading, etc. When does it end? I'm speaking from my own point of view here because I've done all of these things. We invest thousands of dollars into a depreciating asset so much so that eventually others around you notice you have developed a relationship with your car!

I am guilty as charged. But I admit to being more obsessed with driving than even with the car itself. My wife and I did a week's vacation in the Bay Area and drove our rental Dodge Challenger RT with the Hemi V8 about 2000 miles and loved it and the experience.

Yea I have to admit I love driving, too. Not crappy cars, though.

+1 to what everyone said except the comment about calling the e60 your wife. Im a little more partial on "my baby"

Can't wait to take her on this 3000+ mile drive back to the Bay Area.

I love coming out of the store and heading to the parking lot and just staring at my car on the long walk to the drivers door...and I love driving it even more!
For me, owning a BMW is not about status, it's about driving a car that is responsive to my driving needs.
A few years ago when my wife's car was wrecked I picked her up a 328 because I knew she'd love driving it...and she did!
IMO the 3 series has no status at all...I can throw a rock and hit 5 on any given day. But those are 10x more fun to drive than a well equipped Honda Accord.
I've had 3 BMWs over the last 9 years, and I'm definitely a lifer.
It is The Ultimate Driving Machine!

Yes! +1000000

Its not status, its walking up to your car and thinking wow, that's my baby. Its driving and feeling so connected to the road on every turn at every speed. Its just an amazing car!
