I had 2 other cars before my e60, M Roadster and GS300. I'd found the E60 has the sportiness and the steering feel of the M Roadster, the comfort and classy look of the GS.
I think the E60 is almost perfect as a "sedan"....

my only disappointment is the inability to tell which way my tires are pointed at low-speeds in a parking lot. (Active Steering)
While in Lake Como Italy -- i scratched my front-right wheel pulling in to park parallel to the curb! {i swear -- i bearly even turned the steering wheel!)
I would either like the active part of the steering reduced, or at least a little display telling me how much i "really" turned the wheels.
Just have not gotten used to it yet.
Waiting on my car to arrive. Got a port arrival date of Oct 28.

How many other people here have scratched a wheel due to active steering?

Now I am used to it and I pretty much know how much my wheels are turned.
You'll get used to it and then you'll simply love it and don't want to miss it.

Hello all!
Eight months old BMW 530D, E60 is sitting nicely outside under Irish sun.
I have been extremely happy with my car and has had only "one reportable incident": left hand side signal light clip went broken and light drop off. There is one thing what I'm not happy: When I pass a truck car rock once if there is any side wind. This can be because of wrong tire selection or...
New 535D is awailable in cross Europe and that is something what I like. With new chip it will give 326 hp and 620 Nm! Who needs 545?
Of course M5, E60 would be THE ultimate machine.

[Forgot something]
Yes and handling... My Wife don't like high speeds, but in this car she took video camera and took some shots (yes also from speedo) while I was cruising 250 kph (acc. speedo) and she was only amazed. When we came back to Ireland she asked why we drive so slowly? :'(
7000+ km across Europe in three weeks (Finland, Sweden, Danmark, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Ireland) WAS A JOY!
I just read (from other post) that in Singapore cars are even more expensive than in Irelan or Finland, 530D basic price 63-65 k?, in Singapore 100 k?!
