We had that happen to our old X5. We found out when my wife went to get gas one day, she had only a 1/4 tank left, gas pumped for about 10 seconds and stopped. Attendant tried again, and again, same thing. Wouldn't take more than 1 or 2 gallons. Rodent had chewed through the wires by the gas tank. I think it cost us about $300-$400.

Not a BMW story but years ago the lovely brides father was driving to work at about 80kph when a mouse stuck it's head up from the intake vent in front of the windshied. I'm not sure who was more startled - the brides father or the mouse.

Cheers

I have this in my garage just in case. We don't have rodent problems, but I'm not taking a chance...

mouse found it's way into, but not out of, the drip pan in my garage fridge

it pretty much melted before I found it

for weeks i could not figure out where the stench was coming from

it was the single most disgusting thing i've ever had to clean in my life

so watch out!

Luckily, the E60's underbody is pretty well sealed. I just hope I don't suck a squirrel in through the RPi scoop

As much as I like your device...I prefer a more "direct" approach. This way, his friends can get the message to locate elsewhere. YIKES Rodent nesting-sad_flying_squirrel.jpg

omg some of the pictures in this thread is making me want to puke. I hate everything rodent, roaches, 6+ legged critters, insect, cold blooded related. My bro would definitely be the one handling all that mess!
