525iiii,
While driving, try to push the bottom of instrument cluster on the right to see if the noise still exist. I happened to mine, and it's gone now.
Best Regards

Did you mean the tweeter cover? Use your hand prying it out from the tweeter and do it slowly. Otherwise, you'll rip the tweeter's wire.
One important thing while removing the door panel, don't rip it out from the door for more than 6 inches because you'll risk breaking the night orange LED and side airbag connector. You'd better have a second person to help you holding the door panel while you're prying it out or the panel will drop or fall to the side. This will cause connector ripped apart.
Good luck.

I have exactly the same as you "my530i"....... but I cure it by pushing on the small top side vent on close to the A pillar on the dash..... I've also put some rubber under the vent grill
I am having rattles or squeaks coming from the front panel (under the wood panel) between the Idrive screen and the A/C control buttons. i beleive that there is something broken/losse underneath. do you think that i can i fix it or it has to go to dealer... and did you ever experience this kind of noise..
regards

i have a rattle which appears to be coming from the door pillar which meets the front screen i have removed the trim to expose the airbag but there is nothing there to provide the rattle, also the rattle is still there whilst the trim is off. My next peice to remove is the trim which looks like there is a speaker beneath it on the door where the wing mirror is. does anyone know how to remove this part
