Yes or No? Switch from Audi A8 to either 535xi or 550i
#1
I am considering a BMW 5 series for my next car. I currently lease a 2007 Audi A8 with sport package. Will I be disappointed with a BMW 5 Series 535xi or 550i with the sport package? How is the 550i in the winter with snow tires?

The A8 is more comparable to the 7 series. Depends upon what you are looking for in a car.

depends. do you need/like the size of the A8? if so, I would suggest a 7 series as stated above. (perhaps an alpina B7 )
If you do not need that much space, I would definitely suggest getting into a 550i. It's sporty and aggressive, but still have some passenger and cargo room if you need it. I think there was a thread about downsizing from a 7 series to a 5 series....might have have good points in there for you to consider...

The last thing you want is to have to come up with places to go just to enjoy your car. You don't want to contend with the jealous on-lookers who want a BMW. You don't want to have people bothering you all day saying "Man thats nice car". You don't want your wife thinking you love the E60 more than her....
I think the choice is clear.
Welcome to the forum and please come on over... 550i all the way!

My brother drives a 2006 A8 and I love the room and comfort that the Audi offers you...personally im a very loyal BMW guy so after driving his car I decided to look into a 7 series which offers you the same room and comfort the A8 offers you...I was pretty much sold untill I decided to test drive the 550...It just makes you feel so ALIVE...Its been 3 weeks now and im certain i made the right choice...do yourself a favour and test drive the 550 SMG it will make your decision much easier.
