I picked up my CPO 2006 550 3 weeks ago after returning my 2007 530 from it's lease.

Drove the car from the dealer and got a flat tire the 3rd day! Bought a new 19" Pirelli for $500. 2 weeks have passed and tonight I get my FTM light up indicating another flat!

That's 2 flat tires over 2 weeks!! Am I jinxed or are the Pirelli's shitty tires and get flats easy? That's $1000 in tires in 2 weeks!!

Anyone experience this?!

How are they flat? Did you run over some shrapnel? Or just losing air by a slow leak?

Most flats can be repaired if the gash is no bigger then 1" and NOT on the sidewalls.

have you try spraying water with soap solution to find the source of the leak ?

spray around the stem as well or along the lip of rim in rare case rim can be bent and air i slowly leaking, but you will feel vibration

Likely just a stretch of bad luck. On my old 545, I put PS2's on and at one point went through three tires in a 6 week stretch. Every one was some road debris puncturing the tire. None could be repair. Knock on wood, haven't had another since and it's been more than four years...

The last one was a nail in the sidewall and this one I'm not sure yet, I just got the FTM warning a couple of hours ago and the tires are still feeling normal...I reset the FTM and I'm waiting to see if I get another warning, it's taking a hell of a long time to reset..it's still saying "initializing" and it's been over 30 minutes..I'm hoping for an iDrive malfunction but last time it was right! I drive on normal roads in Toronto and suburbs...I don't know how I keep running over nails. I shouldn't of declined the wheel protection plan for $1000! I would of amortized it by now!

Yes I had a similar round of bad luck with road hazards puncturing my tires when I had my Infiniti Q45. Something like 4 tires in 6 months all in Brooklyn when I lived in Brighton Beach.

did you reset while car was completely stopped and drove around?

also check tire pressure ...before you reset

the tire pressure feels normal and I'm currently sitting in the car waiting for it to initialize and the idrive isn't doing it! It reads status: initializing... And nothing is happening...it's been over 30 minutes

Are you driving around? You need to reset at a stop, then drive around for about five miles or so for it to complete initialization.

figure out a way to work the system i managed to get a $3,000 laptop under warranty swapped out for a brand new model. Try to get prorated tire replacement and purchase warranty on new tires

well i better go return this bottle of throttle body cleaner for a full refund
