My Ride: BMW E61 530xd 2007 LCI Touring

Hi,
I do have 2007 LCI E61 with CCC professional navigation, german edition.
For few days I got a problem that coordinates of the car vary from what navigation is showing 10-15 km.
How to fix it up?
I tried to reset(volume+eject), change CDs (i got two 2007 and 2010) but no help.

Please advise.

Unfortunately your the first person I've heard of with this issue, only thing I can suggest is if your car is under warranty to contact BMW and see if they can correct this error which would more than likely be done with a software update. If you don't have warranty then I'd just wait around and cross your fingers until someone with this same issue pops up.

Does it happen everywhere you go or just in certain locations?

When I lived in Germany I used an old PDA type navigation system and whenever I drove past a certain location the reading would be off by several hundred feet. Couldn't figure out whether it was local interference or a glitch in the nav software.

I was advised to change GPS-antenna and HIP-module inside of CCC. Both procedures did not give any results. Any other ideas, or may be someone faced this issue?

Regards

Search for "secret idrive menu". within that menu, you can see how many (if any) satellites your car is seeing. If it is none, then either your gps antenna or cable are crap (you can get a good aftermarket one on ebay for 15 bucks with the right connector). If your car in fact "sees" satellites, drive in slow complete circles to re-calibrate the system. I've had to do this once or twice. Honestly though, it sounds like your are not seeing any satellites and your nav is operation off of the motion detectors only (normally used when you are in tunnels).

Did you try recalibrating by driving slowly in a circle twice?

I will do it on a weekend, not driving this car during working days.
Moreover I remember that in field Altitude there is no data - only: - - - -
Does it mean anything?
