Any pics of this? I don't think there's any way to avoid this with leather though. This happened on my last 3 Series too.

I thought it may not happen as easy because the Dakota leather just seems "harder".

I have my cloth fronseat covers renewed by warranty in my old '04 525i.

Leather has a tendency to stretch out by time, but anyway, have them renewed.

I've had the same problem with all my past bimmers. After the wrinkles usually comes the hardening of the leather . I just put leather conditioner once a month to avoid the hardening problem. But I can't think of a way to avoid the wrinkling on the leather. I guess they naturally stretch over time.

Applying conditioner too often can contribute to the wrinkle problem--it softens the leather which causes it to stretch under pressure. I wouldn't condition more often than every 6 - 9 months.
