Default Wrecked 2008 528i - Front end, headlight and bumper damage

I wrecked my car last week and I’m wondering if repairing on my own is possible. I’ve got some free time the next couple weeks, and money is pretty tight. Unfortunately I have a $2,000 deductible!

I was going about 20mph and the car in front of me slammed on breaks. I cracked steering wheel to left and went into turn lane. I clipped another BMW on their tail light.

After the accident I removed the piece of plastic sticking out of fender area and drove it home. It was a 3 mile drive, going 35mph tops, and it went smoothly. I didn’t hear any weird noises and couldn’t feel anything out of the ordinary. I haven’t noticed any fluid leaks either. No airbags deployed.

This weekend I’m going to do some further inspection to see how far the damage goes back. The hood is stuck right now so i will have to figure out how to remove it. Suggestions would be great.

I want to get whatever used replacement parts possible from pick and pull. It doesn’t have to be pretty. I just want it to be safe and drivable.

Questions...

1. First impression, how bad are the damages?
2. How much would you estimate for replacement parts used and new?
3. What other BMW models/years will have compatible parts?

I will upload more pictures tomorrow, and again when I open up the hood this weekend.

That's way way more than $2000.

Even picking up parts from pick and pull? I have a lot of 528i’s in my area.

Sorry man but that looks bad, IMO way more than $2000. If you really want to keep the car i would somehow get the deductible $ and get it fixed at a reputable shop 😥

You're definitely going to spend more than $2k it being a 08 528i may be a total loss.

Sorry but that looks to be well beyond bolting on replacement parts.

Do you have a larger picture?

What fluids are leaking?

Is the strut tower where it should be? The frame/crash rail?

What might do you in is that most all of the front is aluminum, and if any part of the unibody is cracked, welp.
