Great idea - I think the only reason most people buy prius's is the little screen in the middle.
Well that's the reason I brought this car too

And voice control of the destination input. If they can do it for the phonebook, they can do it for NAV info.
I thought we could do that now.

zagat integration and other easily loadable navigation "overlays" like they have on google maps.

note that the zagat lookup is now on the acura commercials for their latest mdx with navigation (http://www.zagat.com/)

Full control over things that can be changed but are dealer only programmable or region only options (for example, in the US you can't set the doors to auto unlock upon putting the car in Park).

many new phones today have phonebooks where you can actually store person's picture with phone number... I wish I-Drive can support jpg for phone calls, so that if a person calls, it will show in the idrive the phone number as well as the small jpg picture of that person... if we do store them into our phones....

This and some other Bluetooth profiles. You can pass images from the phone via bluetooth - it should be possible to get the car to accept, resize, and display the caller's photo.

I want A2DP. My new Motorola Q has it implemented with Bluetooth 1.2. Just for laughs, I tried to pair it to the E60 as a stereo headset, but the car doesn't support the proper profile (A2DP). Oh well. Perhaps in time...
