Too keep it short and simple, I recently paid a shop $150 to torque six spark plugs because I kept getting the ramdom misfire and failed the smog test because of that. With that said, never again will I try to tighten anything without a torque wrench again.

Would you buy this torque wrench (click on the link below) or would you spend an average of $80 or more on something else? Keep it mind, I will probably need it for oil changes and a few other regular maintenance for the car.

Any inputs is appreciated!

Have a great day!

I have the same one!

It's not the best thing, but it works.

Thanks, Ricapar.

It does not have to be the best. I just need one that works and does the job 1 to 10 times per year.

If you want to cover higher torque jobs,e.g.wheel bolts 120Nm, you will need a 1/2" drive with a higher range (20-150 ft lbs).

I bought a similar one from Amazon ( but a bit expensive) it looks exactly like the one I bought. I use it regularly and changed (removed and cleaned ) my rims and brakes with that.

I have and still use an old-school needle type torque wrench. Recently used it when replacing the spark plugs with no probs whatsoever.

this same torque wrench caused a nightmare for me more than once. Didn't work right. You do not need a torque wrench for small jobs and changing plugs is like a 1 out of a 10. Have you ever seen a tire shop put wheels back on with a torque wrench? I guess if you don't know how to torque something down and get the feel for it then sure you can use a torque wrench. I see a lot of guys wearing gloves to change a tire and spark plugs too.
