Hi all..
Next week I'm going to place an order for my next 5er. From the begining my intention was to order a 530d. After some talking to the dealer and some thinking I ended up with these two alternatives. Which do you think has the best resale value, and which is the most fun to own? The 535d is a few bucks more expensive, that's ok.
The 525d M Sport is a poser, 535d is a sleeper...
Edit: I'm sure I added a poll, but it didn't work!

535d without a doubt. That engine more than makes up for the lack of extras!

Depends on your use of the car
City driving = 525d M sport= Loaded with features - Looks way better - cheaper - frugal
a lot of Motorways = 535d is a better performer & Fun

Damn I live on the wrong side of the ?resundsbridge !
I think a 525dA with M-package would be easier to sell later on, due to the M-package which the Swedish people like alot!
But since there is a lot of euiptment in the 525d the price is almost the same as the 535dA. Equiptment makes a car easier to sell later on, but you will never get the money back on the extras.
Go for the 535dA and please add HIFI !! The basic stereo sucks!

I think that'll be my first pick too, a pity I won't be able to drive the new 3.0L 525d before I'm placing the order though.
the feeling and acceleration of the 535d with its twin-turbo setup! another alternative is the CLS320CDI , 230bhp/540nm

the way i see it, is that the 525d and 530d will be especially good performers, but they just cant replicate

By the way my current 530d 'won' over a CLS320CDI in a 0-120km/h redlight -> motorway race once.. Ok, mine is remaped, stock they should be pretty even.

My Ride: e39 525i Touring, will order e61 as soon as I can decide on engine and options...

525d will keep you happy longer due to kit + sufficient engine. 535d will shine on Autobahn if you plan to drive there a lot.

Edit: I'm sure I added a poll, but it didn't work!![Devil](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/devil.gif)
