2007 550i SMG. NAV, HUD, Night Vision, PDC....don't think the rest of the option list could be related. Every once in awhile, I'll be trying to enter an address in the NAV or change radio stations and it will just start to jitter and move by itself. I'll be trying to scroll and it jumps clockwise, I'll be trying to enter a street name and it's spinning away down the alphabet. It doesn't do it all the time, but whenever it does, it's REALLY frustrating. I guess I always figured the controller was a passive device, not a possessed device.

Any idea why it's doing it and what to do to fix it? Car is out of warranty.

Sounds like the force feedback part of the iDrive went bad... *shrugs*
