BMW dealership here in Little Rock, AR says it takes 2.5 hrs to change a fuel injector in one of the cylinders and 1.5 hrs to diagnose. Alpha Warranty company sasy that according to Mitchells labor guide and All Data, it should be 0.6 hrs to change. Who's right here?

Which warranty is covering this issue? Is your '08 already out of factory coverage? As for labor rate - I wonder if the Mitchel guide is correctly listing the 535 and if specific injectors are more or less accessible? Even in a conventional 6 cyl non-turbo BMW, 36 minutes to properly R&R an injector seems pretty fast.

I'd hunt a good indy shop and see if they will use flat rate labor from Mitchel.

a mechanic might be able to do the job in an hour, but a dealer is definetly going to charge more than that. heck, they charge an hour's labor just to look at a car.
