I have changed the centre consul on my 2005 530D with one of a 2007 e60 Lci, the problem I have is the PDC and the DTC are now just three wires to each switch and the old one was a long unit with the switches on the front which does not fit, also one connector as lots of wires and the other one as a few wires. I was thinking of putting the unit behind the radio frame work and running some wires from it to the switches?
there are a few things I need 1. Some sort of wire diagram for the flat ribbon out for the old unit
2. Has the new switches got to be gutted and rewired

please let me know if you think there is a easy way of doing it and has anyone done this before
All for a change in radio, the old one had the logo coming on all the time and I had a newer version (only another ccc drive the business version one)
