Hey Gang,
Did a search and didn't come up with anything, so I thought I would post.
Sometime after using my wipers, either Auto mode (which I use most of the time) or manual, the wiper arms do not go all the way back down in to the park position (lower then the hood) or at least I can't see them while driving. and I have to turn them on and off a couple times for them to go all the way down.
Do you think this is a problem that needs to be looked at by the service department, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for an advise.

If they don't go down with you turn the wipers off then you have a problem. But if they don't go down when you turn the car off without turning the wipers off first then I don't think you have a problem. You'd think that BMW could have easily made the blade go to rest position when you turned the car off - but no.

I have the same problem, 08 model. Inconsistant butobvious when in "rain sense" mode, wipers will not rest in-between cycles in the lowest position. Since dealer is less then helpful - I have to get used to it.

At the dealer today, seems the wiper transmission is binding, there is a transmission between the wiper arms and the motor, need to be replaced.
thank god I have the Warranty.
