Bambi, how do you like the Pirelli Winter 240 SnowSports? I was debating between those and the Dunlop Winter sport 3D's.

First, don't buy wheels from LSWT. Member monacobmw did and his replica's had the worst vibrations ever!

Second, I would buy some 18" OEM's for winter, like you have for summer(like I did, although mine came with my xi) and slap some Blizzaks or M3's on there. You are aware that the 123 and 124's both come in 2 offset sizes, right? One for the xi and one for the RWD models. And yes, most E46 wheels will work for our car, but then again, you need to make sure the offsets are correct. Center bore size is less of an issue than offset size these days. That's not to say you should completely disregard bore size, but offset is priority #1.

If you call Garry Romani of BMW of Newport (Parts Manager and that would be Newport, Rhode Island), he will give you a 25% discount for being a member on this forum. You can also try Quad_m (Tony) too. Not sure who is cheaper...

What you need are the "xi" 123 or "xi" 124 wheels which have the high offset for the AWD model. DO NOT get the RWD wheels. Make sure of this when you finalize your order. The offset on our wheels is ET43. And yes, the OEM 123 wheels and OEM 124 wheels both come in "xi" offsets for our cars, as well as, the RWD model. Since you have the 124's already on your car, you know that. Wait, did I just repeat this again? Hahahaha! Sorry.

As for the M6(167) wheels, they will NOT fit our car, but then again, those are just the 19" OEM wheels. The replica 18's by LSWT I'm not familiar with, but then again, I would steer clear of that seller in general. Their customer service and replicas are terrible! Have you visited the following site to see the difference? http://www.realoem.com

You should also check out this tool too, when researching...

Feel free to PM me with any questions. I'm pretty good when it comes to what wheels will work and what won't for our AWD model.

/C
Thanks. I had purchased replica winter wheels from LSWT in 2004 for my X5 and they are still running good. Couple of my buddies also bought from them. Their replicas used to be from Italy. May be something has changed recently with them.
Reason I am looking for M6 is I prefer 5-spoke wheels as they are easier to clean in the winter slush. Also prefer something different since already have 124.
PaulMiller BMW in NJ also gives 25% off and is very close to me.
I can get dealer prices from Tirerack through my connection but they don't have good wheel choices for 535xi.

Any other wheel choices?

I considered Miro's at one point. They look nice and since they're your winters, I say go for it. Just curious though...why not convert your 18" stocks to winters and upgrade to 19's for summer? That's what I did and I gotta tell you that 19's was such a big difference, especially on the xi.

Sits way too high without H&R sports springs. It's a must! Here's a pic after drop...and prior, on my 530xi with 19's.
