My Ride: 05 545i silver
Hi everyone,
I have had a very good winter last year with this setup on my 545i sport. The tries are exceptional. We have had a fair amount of snow last year and not once did I slip or skid. Wonderful setup, would gladly recommend this setup.
At first I mocked the concept of "Performance" winter tires. Buy Hey before you dismiss them if you are going to have winter tires on a performace car you need to think of those clear winter days when there is no snow and the sun shines but you are stuck with low speed rated tires. (I believe it's not the speed itself but the torsional rigidity that high speed rated tires have that makes the difference)
Unfortunately I wasn't able to fully test these tires, but I drove them in snow for about 60 miles just testing them in fresh snow and icy snow conditions, grips really good.
Can't imagine getting around winter with the standard setup on the 545i sport. (Of course having an SUV helps)
And since I won't be needing them this winter they are up for sale on ebay
