Winter tires

so everyone that has 172's or a 08+550i how do you fit winter tires on and what size do you use? I tried tirerack and they dont really have anything they have 245/40/19 all around so the back would have to be sterched alittle... any help would be useful thanks guys! this is for next winter and im looking for summer tires. I want Iforged rims

Hey Anthony... When I had my 550 I used the same tire size..I swear for the love of god I cant remember right now, but I dont know if 40's will fit on 19's.. I had 35's ad 30's in the rear I think.. I had the continental dws.. They were excellent. hold on ill find the add I placed when I sold them.


ok here ya go.. they worked awesome on my car during the snow and ice..

Thanks so much Mel! how come I haven't seen you at Johns shop yet? I'm there all the time lol I'll check those out becuase I really want good winter tires for the car,

AHH but you have 18" rims for winter setup lol i want to use my existing oem wheels im getting them powdercoated grahpite or gunmetal

i have the blizzaks on my stock M 19" wheels now. I absolutely love them in the snow.. Its nothing like Annti gets, but NY has been snowballed this past winter. I even have a hill on my driveway and block! But the DWS's are awesome, order them now cause there always on backorder!

I was looking at the DWS's but i want like dedicated winters on these bad boys, but if i have no choice then dws's i was looking on tire rack no blizzaks avalible for 19" :thumbsdown: or maybe just not in season?

could be the size you were looking for. i had to compromise alittle too on the blizzaks. just get the dws, there really good. last winter was bad too, im on a hill and so is my block, and i was fine in the 550
