I had my winter tyres put on today and the car washed.

The ride is sooooo much smoother and quieter compared
to the 18" Dunlop RF's.
The Conties are great!

I also noticed a lot of mist in the both the headlights

First (!) service will be in Jan so I quess they have to do
something about that at the dealers.

Still have only my old Nokia cellcam... :'(

Nice gleaming ride you have there - and silver is probably the best colour for winter - dreading to see what my (black) car is going to look like over the winter months!

You mentioned the new wheel & tyre set up is far smoother and quieter. Have you simply swapped to 16" with RFT, or have you also changed from RFT to non-RFT?

Cheers

Propably he ment that winter tyres are so much softer that you really can hear and feel the difference.

It seem that I also have to go to change my winter tyres under the car when I get home. Bye bye summer! :'(

Thanks xBMWx!

The silver (almost)never looks dirty, but it is a pretty dull color for a E60,
atleast for a standard one.

The Conties are not a new setup, these tyres came from my '04 E60,
and they are not luckily RF's!

Also my Dunlop RF's came from my old E60, but the tread is now down to 3 mm,
so next spring new NON RF's...

No!

Have been driven my BMW cars in the wintertime (since the motorcycle) without spikes.

But as you can see in my sign, they have all have been with small engines (and still are).

That's absolutely normal. It could even be a lot more and would be "normal".
It is also normal that it stays for 12 hours or longer.

There are others here on the forum that have reported it to their dealers and got new headlights.

BUT: those dealers have not been reading the PuMA cases on this subject.

I can assure you, it is normal and nothing to worry about.

Thanks Iceman for your reply, that's calming.

I did send a meil about the subject to my dealer yesterday,
but they have not answered yet.
