Ran Pirelli 210 Sottozero Series II on OEM 128's for the same car for one Cleveland winter, really happy with performance. However, wish I went with 18" for appearance.

Hi from Ottawa Canada
I have a 535xi and in winter I mount 17" Hakkapellittas on Replika alloy rims. Fantastic winter tires. My son says I should be able to climb trees with those tires, but I feel he exaggerates slightly.

I run blizzak ws-70s on a 17 inch wheel. Awesome tire, never got stuck once with them and we had some major snow last year in Buffalo. I had conti winters they sucked.

After about 5000 miles last year the rear tires wore down to 9/32 and the fronts were still at 10-11/32's. Good tread life for such a soft tire

I like the Michelin X-Ice I got from Tire Rack. A little quieter than the Blizzaks and excellent snow and ice traction.

Starting second season on Michelin X-Ice i2 on OEM rims. Love them. Usually forget they are winter tires.

Just mounted 4 new Michelin X-Ice2 on 17" wheels on my 06 550i. Ride is quiet and smooth but handling is inferior to 18" staggered.
