This is the first time, I am going to refill the washer fluid after one and half years of ownership. It always had BMW dealer filled fluid. Any suggestion from the fellow members on the brand of fluid I should buy?

I saw a bottle of this at a friend's house. He's pretty picky, so I would imagine it's good stuff. I've never put in any either, so....

You can but the BMW washer concentrate at the parts department ... my dealer always tops mine off - even if I bring in my '98 Z3! I happen to like the smell of the stuff!
For my other cars fall and winter I buy the premixed deicing washer fluid at a local discount store - RainX or Peak etc. In the summer months I mix up my own - A gallon of distilled water + a little -- 1 tablespoon car wash liquid soap (NOT DISHWASHING LIQUID - that removes wax!).

Only use Rain-X. Use it winter or summer. Gets off bugs even. Leaves a nice slippery coating on windshield.

The explanation is simple, it justifies the price. Other substances that are made for windshields could be bad for your eyes. Specially if they are fake and could even freeze up on you as they consist off god knows what atleast in Russia, Moscow. My friends always make a joke that one day when we run out of Vodka they will drain my tanker for it!

+1 for the BMW ethanol-based concentrate from the dealer. It's relatively cheap ($3 or so a bottle), works well, dries fast, and smells great.
