My Ride: 2008 BMW 550i

Hello Everyone,
I can open the windows & sunroof of my'08 550 by holding the UNLOCK button on the key. When I hold the LOCK button to close them, they dont budge. I belive the manual agrees that I am doing the right thing. Has anyone experienced this or have any suggestions?

Thanks!

The remote closing feature is not available in North America -- you're not doing anything wrong.

If you want to perform an equivalent "all close" command, you either need to put the metal key in the door cylinder, turn and hold it or, if you have comfort access, you can just hold your finger on the keyhole area and everything will close.

North american safety regulation says you can't remotely close the window so you have to stick the key in the door and hold in the lock position.

It would be nice if it DID work here in North America!

We Americans can't be trusted with such things as clear side lenses on Pre-LCI E60's (must have ugly amber or Amazing 'Euro Sticker'), business navigation for the 6.6 inch screen, or automatically closing windows - though the windows have built-in annoying 'anti-trap' function.
