2005 545i -Sport. I have the shadowline trim. It's cold here now, but in the summer, when I roll up my windows, the door trim on the outside moves up a little with it- maybe .25 inch. It does not go back down with the window rolldown, so I find myself pushing the trim back level with the top of the door manually. Anyone else have this happen? Not really a problem, per se, but annoying.

Did you install the trim yourself? I believe there is supposed to be some sticky padding or tape that was used to sort of pinch on the metal part the trim is supposed to rest on. This keeps it from popping back out when the windows go up and down. What you can do is use thick tape (even duct tape) for that.

Thanks,

No, I didn't install- it came that way from the factory.

You can use this DIY as a guide to help you fix it.
