Window control location

why did bmw move the window controls from the center to the driver's door? i believe this was changed on the previous model.

This is due to the customer input, I guess?

i think it is better so only the driver can do it.

sorry, i think i liked it a lot more on the center, probably thats why i keep asking for a "close all" button.

i liked it better in the center. especially with idrive, it would be nice to activate the windows there too. although, i do like the location on the new 5. the controls are level with your hand while driving.

a close all or open all would be great too. mb 3 class has a feature that you can press and hold the air recirculation button. if any window is open or the sunroof, it closes them up..if you press and hold that button again, it returns what was open to it's last position. it's designed for driving through tunnels. however, there is no open all or close all.

This is interesting because a little software tweeking by the engineers at bmw should get us that option too..

Maybe this is a good one for the Iceman's wishlist..???
