Will there be a 535i available in Europe?

I very very nearly bought a 540i instead of the 535d. The main reasons I ended up getting the 535d;
Purchase price - 540i was only about ?1500 or so more than the same spec 535d, so that wasn't an issue ...
Fuel - 29.1mpg 540i vs 42.2mpg 535d (although I rarely see above 32mpg!). Price wasn't the issue, but I hate stopping to put fuel in the car so opted for longer time between fuel stops!
Residual - The killer for me ... hardly anybody buys large engine petrol BMWs in the UK. Residual values for something like a 540i are awful compared to the big engine diesels.
Current plans for my next car are a 550i F10. As much as I love diesels ... I just need to get back in to a big V8 petrol. Might even wait for the F10 M5. But then that is 4 or 5 years away, so who knows what I'll be able to afford by then.
