Assuming the 19 inch CSL's are on a non all wheel drive 5 series, then the offsets are wrong and the wheel will stick out of the wheel well too far. If they are on a all wheel drive 5 series they'll be tucked in the wheel well a bit, but will be better than the 5 series "I" wheels on a 3 series.

545i
3 series offsets are 34 front and 37 rear.
They would stick out (34-12)= 22mm front so just shy of an inch
They would stick out (37-20)= 17mm rear so about three quarters of an inch
As is, the fronts would look goofy, I suspect. The rears would probably be OK.
If the rims are the same size all around ( non staggered or each wheel is the same width), you could try the rears with the higher offset on the front of the 3 series and it would stick out about 14 mm or just a little more than a half inch, and the fronts on the rear of the 3 series would stick out about 15mm which is also a little more than a half inch. If the rears are wider than the fronts (staggered), this won't work though.
Are the wheels staggered?

yes they are
The 5 series XI has about the same offsets as a 3 series (actually a little higher offsets than the 3 series). Look up member "DAS", he has a 5 series XI and he put I wheels on it. The front tires stick out past the front wheel well and it looks odd to my eye. But the guy you are selling them to might like it, who knows.
