I have really enjoyed this forum since over a year ago. I helped me choose my new E60 530D + options.

However, I have found (to my cost) I do not need such a large car, my garage is too small and my drive is not quite big enough. I also have ended up having to use the train for my commute )ughhh

To cut a long story short, I am swapping my virtually new E60 for an M3 with 6,000 miles on it

I will miss the comfort and 590Nm of torque, but the combination of runflat's, size, facelift and my wife's dis-approval - yes, she is as important as my car, means I have to go

No M3 forum is anywhere near as good as this

M3 is a carbon black one so I may have to pop back for some waxing advice if that is OK?

Byee all for now and I hope I don't get banned from the forum for this mutinous post :'(

You must be getting a great deal on the m3. I would hold out till the new v8 m3 comes and or go for the twin turbo 335 if it's available over there. Good luck!

The V8 is out of the question unfortunately. I would need to find another 20,000 GBP for one of those os an RS4

Second hand nearly new E46 M3's are a bargain at the moment (worth about the same as my 9 month old 530D) so the choice was quite easy

Which particular aspect of your E60 did you wife disapprove of the most?
I am dying to know.

The size (she never saw one til it was on our relatively small drive) and the auto box. She never warmed to it as much as my old A4. I guess size matters When it did not fit in the garage it was terrible - how dumb of me

More importantly, I am doing so few miles now that such a comftorble car is wasted on me and her. Think a spell in an M3 (I am also a track day enthusiast with a Caterham Superlight to play with) will do me some good.
