Do any of you guys have a problem with the volume only going so loud? Which isnt very loud. When I turn up the stereo it seems like something is preventing it fromm going louder even though the speakers sound fine.

I have the hifi system if that helps

According to my source, the max volume limit is not user adjustable. Just the speed sensor adjustment. Each car is adjust accordingly. I guess the only other way would be to add into the system somehow...

bmw's are very safe cars....the car is trying to prevent you from damaging you ears, at least i think that's what mine used to do.

you'll have to go aftermarket sound equipment to remedy that situation. need to be careful about the gain settings on your new gear or the door chime will kill you.

What are you listening t o? CD's, mp3 player, radio??? If its your mp3 player make sure your player volume is at the max and then adjust your stereo accordingly. Make sure your balance, fade and other settings are where you want them to be and make sure all your speakers are actually working... my system blows my ear off

Does your car have the 11 option? If not then that would explain why it is not that loud.
