Did the dealer follow the steps in the attached SIB--they need to update CIP, then retrofit MP3?

Thanks Stream, but my car was built on 9/04, thus not covered by the retrofit bulletin. They said I would need a new CCC which I was not prepared to pay.

I saw the date in the SIB, but thought I read where cars prior to that date had been successfully retrofit for MP3 without any hardware changes. Perhaps wishful thinking on my part, since mine is a 11/04 build. :think:

I've always had RDS and dont have NAV so I only have the Phone Voice commands and those have always worked too... No need for upgrade I guess... Plus I dont want a slower car just in clase... like what Znod has been experiencing...
