But not all E60s have spares... eh... with run flats I rather run the M5 weight distribution.

Tires still can have total failures....I blow out the sidewall of a runflat.
There was a posting of a rim fracture....split in two.
Beware of hitting softball sized rocks at speed.

It's a bit tedious trying to keep up with who gets what on the same model. My UK E39 had a triangle and a torch but no first aid kit. My French E39 and the current E60 had/have no triangle, no first aid kit, no torch, and no RFT spare. Triangles, first aid kits, spare bulbs, oh yes and mandatory conspicuity vests, all get moved these days from car to car.

I thought part of the reason for having run-flat tires on your car is too elimate the weight penalty of the spare tire.
This is good news! You can ditch the runflats without having to worry about buying the spare kit!!!

I was wondering about that the whole time... WHY put the DVD NAV slot in the front? just put it in the rear of the trunk like the E39... Theres no use for it there... mabe for those that want to load a route to memory then load in a DVD MP3 player... but thats kinda useless too... CD Mp3 is more than enough.
My dealer told me that DVD drive And CCC is one integrated device.
There is a sheet on TIS CD that proves his words.

A bit out of topic but its an answer. Sorrry

In Canada, 5's with RF don't come with spares ... when I ordered my car, I also ordered a spare and tools so that if/when I do get a flat in my RF, I can get the tire removed, put the spare on, deliver the flat tire to the shop and still have a drive-able car ... I've seen on this forum being waiting a few days for a RF tire to be found for their cars, you shouldn't drive around for days on a flat RF. And like others, I can switch out my RF for non-RF with no concerns.

It is possible for the run flat tire to become damaged to the point to where it is undrivable. You may need it.
I have run flat and spare emergency tire too.

Last saturday evening it happened to a friend of mine to have a big gash in his runflat, He thanked a lot for the immediate availabilty of a spare tire.
