Why does the 550 have staggered wheels? Also does the 530 have them? Just curious.

I suppose to put the power to the ground, although a Limited Slip Diff would probably work better. The 530 doesn't have staggered fitment.

I saw a 530xi with style 124 rims, and the sapcing between the top of the tire and the fender was quite large. Can the xi be lowered or is this a problem because of the all wheel drive?

I'm not sure, but the sports package on rear wheel drive models lowers the body, but not on the xi models.

Katheikia: I appreciate that you are explaining it the same way. But it's probably Greek to the rest of the forum.

Different size tyres at the front and rear of the car, with the rear having wider tyres

Studied enough classics in my olden times. Can't remember much, but still recognise the rhythm and a few words (plus, to be honest, your name and andri0tis are a fair giveaway)
