This is a company car for me. The company I run is owned by a German group and I had to pick a German car. Once had an Audi A6 and couldn't stand it, the MB E class didn't handle nearly as good and I fell in love with the 550i.

I too went looking for a 3 but just could not seem to fit comfortably into one. They were louder in the cabin and the back seat was kind of a joke. Plus, every rich kid in town gets a 3 for their first car and there just aren't that many 5's around. The 5's I do see are all pretty stock with the exception of 2. One blacked-out 550 and a 545 with a lot of Hartge mods. So, long story short, a 5 was the car for me. It was a major upgrade from any car I had driven before. It was fun to drive while still being a comfortable car to be in for long periods of time. Throw some mods in the mix and the thing is simply awesome. It certainly doesn't hurt that it turns some heads from time to time as well.
Oh yeah - And it was only a couple thousand more than some 3's that were around town at the time.

In the past had owned two 3-series, five 5-series cars (2xE34, 3xE39) and for me, the 5 is an allround better car. More space, more looks, well the past 5series not this E60, and overall happier ownership. The 3 is great for a bachelor or a selfish personal play car to own.
When there is a family, the 5 is my choice.
Love the two choices in the poll especially the last one over the first. Vagina Magnet? You got to be kidding. Which part of the world is the 5series a vagina magnet?
I would seriously love to know.
cheers

I have owned an A6 and an E class, and now finally a 5 series. This car is the best drive of all of them. The funny thing is that I bought the car before even taking it for a test drive. The e60 makes you want to drive, even in SoCal.

A Vagina Magnet?
I know there are a lot of women owners/drivers on this board. Need to reword this as 'Vagina/Dick Magnet'. Equal Opportunity![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

I am a guy and think chicks in bmws are hot, because... usually they are. My dream girl drives a black 550. I have seen her. once. she is my dream girl. she is.
so the e60s may be dick magnets for guys like us that like chicks in bmws. however, a dude driving a miata can be a dick magnet for... well dudes that drive miatas... take that how you want to...
are regular guys (guys that dont drive e60s, haha) attracted to girls in bmws?
oh, I also like girls in the MB C-class, they are usually hot and young (in their 20s)

Reason I bought the E60 is because they were one of the few car manufacturers that offered a mid-size sports luxury sedan in a Manual 6-Speed transmission!

When I was shopping around for a new car, I tried the A6, E60, and the E-class.... Somehow I felt the MB made me feel like an old guy and the A6 made me feel bored... plus the A6 was coming out with a new facelift months later but I wanted a car right then and there..... The E60 LCI was the only choice out there at the time having just been released that month.
Now, I'm looking to see how the F10 turns out. If not, I'd might just go luxury (S-class) or exotic (haven't made up my mind yet)....
