Apart from these key points though, I think comfort, interior space, ride quality & features come to mind.
Oh and did I mention it's an E60?
Good points, but remember, the e90 will be MUCH quicker.
There's nothing wrong with the E90. I think it's a nice looking car, but it is smaller. I think that's really the only difference. The PDC on the E90 for US sux, only rear and no graphic display, but Europe gets the grapic display, what's up with that? Sometimes I think BMW is
I don't think the E90 is that much lighter than the E60 - the E60 uses a lot of weight saving techniques (the front is aluminum etc) and if I recall correctly the weights aren't that far apart, so I don't think it will be MUCH quicker than an 06 530 with the revised engine.

In my mind it simply comes down to how much space you need. If you are rarely or never going to have people ride in the back seat, I would get the smaller car. For me, having just upgraded from a E46 to a 545i, it feels more like a grown-up car and less like a boy toy.

E60 is more like a grown-up car. What I mean is you're asking for a little more comfort whilst keeping the sport spirit.

The e90 is not much quicker because it has 3,15:1 on the transm and have a whigt of 1540 i Aut version. The spec for the new 530i is 3.23:1 and 1570 kg
