If you are waiting for one you should maybe know that the stuff I listed does come standard on the 135i. Head over to 1addicts.com, everything is talked in great detail.

135i standard (confirmed by Mags and BMW site):

M-tech body kit (no foglights like the M5)
M-tuned sport supspension
18 inch M-division aluminum wheels
Six-piston calipers up front and two-piston calipers in the rear (Brembos)
Xenon Adaptive Headlights

Go to the LA Auto Show starting Friday(16th), the 135i is making its US debut. You can see it up close, side by side with the 128i. I know I will be going to check it out.

Interesting conversation all. But when it's said and done, it pisses me off that comfort access is a $1000 option on the 5 series and only $500 on the 3 series. That's just plain gouging. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to skip that option all together!
I know it's comparing two completely separate styles, feelings, philosophy's etc.. but I am trying to decide between a 528i and 335i coupe. Both with similar options (Sport, Premium, Nav, Htd seats, Steptronic, Sat radio, IPOD). The quotes I have are about $100 more per month for the 335i due to the residuals and money factors primarily. Can't decide what to do! I know, life is rough.

Read this thread and you'll see a perfect example where price didn't matter.
The author stated that price didn't matter between which 5 series he wanted. Not to choose between a 3 and a 5.

If you are ABSOLUTELY certain that engine power is not important and interior space is, then go with a 528i. But if you have or occassionally get the SLIGHTEST NEED FOR SPEED, then a 335i is what you should go after. In my experiences, when having to choose between speed and comfort, speed always wins.

I know, I keep going back to the 335i in my head and I really never use my back seat. Wish I wasn't priced out of the 535i but will have to wait for that one.

335i sounds like it fits you.. since you dont use the back seat.. but your 100 more per month can easily turn into 200 more permonth... considerfing fuel cost... hehe... im sure you wont baby 300hp it to conserve fuel...

I am actually seriously worried about getting a ticket not just fuel costs. I did the Susan G Komen charity drive and had a 335i coupe all to myself. Hit 112 on Forest Lawn in Burbank and was literally laughing out loud! Ever since I haven't been able to get this car out of my head. To make note on previous parts of the discussion, I can afford either the 3 or the 5 but don't necessarily want to spend more than I have to either. I'm still back and forth. My dealer has several cars that I would be happy with so I'll probably make a decision by this weekend.
